Copy Failed

Been trying to update to version 2.3.1

However, I get an error saying Copy Failed. Please help.

Could you give us the full message returned ?

Yes. Please see image attached.

This indicates that the folders where Joomla needs to write the new files of the install package are not writable.
You'll have to fix your website's folder permissions so that Joomla has write accesson them in order to install it.
You might want to contat your hosting company in order to know the procedure they recommend on their servers (it can be different based on how the server is setup).

Thank you. i simply uninstalled and re-installed. All fine now.
