Add partner to user account during registration???

I would love to here a bit more about the option: Add partner to user account during registration.
(It did not make it into the docs yet, it seems.)

Does this option mean that every purchase that user makes will be recorded as affiliated purchase?
Does this take in account any timeframe settings?

Sounds like a great option , just want to understand fully what is possible.

Yes, it's exactly that. The timeframe is not taken into account for the orders affiliation in that case.
It requires however that the customer registers on the website before the timeframe of the affiliation expires.
