Remove category and product names from SEF links

Hi,

how can I remove Category SEF name(category) and Product SEF name(product) from SEF links?

I can remove the settings only for 1 of the 2. When I try to empty the second one I get a pop-up telling me that is not allowed to name both the same. In my case saving the settings empty.

You can't. That's why there is a warning popup telling you that you can't.
It is necessary to have one of the two so that the SEF routing can work properly. Otherwise, you might end up with 404 errors on the links of your products or categories, and you don't want that.
If you want to be able to customize your URLs further to remove both, you would need to use the URL alias feature of a SEF extension like SH404SEF to be able to really have the URLs you want.
