product listin sort by price by default

Hi,

How can i sort my products by price by default?
For example that the first product on the listing is always the one with the highest price?

I've tried to do it via the ordering field "product_sort_price", but this is not working.

Hi,

You can use product_sort_price. However, this field is only updated when you save the products in the backend and only since we've added that field. If you had enter the price for your products before that, or if you've imported the prices automatically with a CSV for example, that field won't be filled and thus it won't sort the products like you expect when using it.
You would have to edit each price and save it once and then it should work.

Allright, I've tested like this and this works indeed. Only, as I need to use the CSV upload ( it is too much work to add my products one by one) will this function work in the future with importing?
