How to auto-select a shipping methode?

Hi,

We have the option to pick-up the products in the store.
But this is select by default and we don't want that.

How can we change this, is it possible to set no shipping method by default?
Or how can we change this behavior?

Just change ordering of you shipping methods via back-end configuration. Hikashop is autoselecting the first possible shipping method....

The automatically selected shipping method is the first one based on the ordering of the shipping methods in the System>Shipping methods and the shipping methods available when the cart is created. So you need to make sure that either:
- the shipping method you want as default is available before the customer enters his address (which might not be possible if the shipping method is dynamic like UPS, USPS, etc)
- no shipping method are available until the shipping method you want as default is available.

Have a site which has several delivery methods based on customer postcode and a collect from warehouse method with no postcode restriction. On checkout defaulting to the collect method as customer postcode unknown when cart created. Customer enters address in first step of checkout process.

Solution - add 'catch all' postcode restriction to the collect from warehouse method. Then no methods available until user enters address at which point Hikashop defaults to the first method it finds - collect from warehouse is last in list. If address outside delivery area then collect will be the only option available.

Delivery Area 1 Postcode : B[2-4]
Delivery Area 2 Postcode : B[5-9]
Collect from Warehouse Postcode : [A-Z]
