jUpgrade and VirtueMat Import was created by sokartch
Sorry for my simple English!

This is mostly experience, probably not a bug

1. Joomla! 1.5.x with VirtueMart...
2. jUpgrade to Joomla! 1.7.2 (VirtueMart Tables are ported)
3. HikaShop installed, Import => no pictures found

...

1. Joomla! 1.5.x with VirtueMart...
2. jUpgrade to Joomla! 1.7.2 (VirtueMart Tables are ported)
3. VirtueMart image folders copy to Joomla! 1.7.2 Installation
4. HikaShop, Import => all pictures found

Yes, that's normal. It's because jupgrade does not transfer the image folders. You did the right thing :)
