Config option to list items without tax

Hi,

It would be nice to have an option in Config whether or not items and subtotals should have the tax included or not.

While I realize in the EU you might need everything listed WITH the tax included, here in the US that is not the case, and while I can go in and change all the various views that define how the figures are displayed, it would be a little easier if I could just make a single choice in config instead...

Yes. That's something we want to do so that you don't have to edit files. A centralized option to activate or not the display of taxes for prices. It's already in the todo list.

This is a feature I would like as well. You mentioned "without editing files" - is there any documentation on how to do this by editing certain files? I have a few hundred categories, and don't want to create a custom view for each one.

That option has already been added in the Display tab of the configuration since 1.5.8 and it is called "show taxed prices".
