Lack of documentation

In viewing the PHP files from the Starter download, I see that there's no in-file documentation or code comments.
Yes, I have seen the "Developer documentation", but that isn't ideal.

Is a commented version of the PHP files available?

All the comments are stripped out when the packages are generated.

But, why not? It's common sense to include comments, and many JED files include them. It's probably a deal-breaker for me using hikashop at either Starter or Business level.

To reduce the size of the files as the packages are quite big.
