contact button behavior

In the process of customizing the product page contact button system I have managed to get the contact button (from 'display a contact button on the product page') to open up the contact form in a modal window (component.php with its own styling), present the exact form we need, and send from a customized email template. There is just one task remaining and I am stuck. When you hit 'send' (previously 'OK') the modal window loads the full home page of the site with relevant message into the modal window itself. I would like for just the relevant message to load into the modal window after submitting the form. How can this be done?

It's actually quite simple.
In the contact form page, you need to add a hidden input with the name tmpl and the value component
That way, the resulting page will load in the popup without the template around it.
