Category layout for books store

Hello,

I want to adjust Hikashop for selling books online. Can anybody give some advice what to use for authors? Category's or Brand's? And how to display Author in category (list of products in category) list?

Hi,

For the authors I would recommend to use brands. That way, they display directly on the product page.
If you want to add the display of the brand on the products listing, you can use the same code as in the thread below in the file "listing_img_title" of the "product" view via the menu Display>Views :

And one more question. We will have two versions of same book (printed and PDF). I'm planing to use options to connect different types of same book. Or should i use related products?

Can you tell me how to show both prices of the book in category view (one original price and second one of associated product)?
Is it possible?

Hi,

I will recommend you to use variants but for the interface you want, it will require some custom developments.
You can have to "add to cart" buttons in a product listing or in a product page. To do that, you must make some modifications in your HikaShop store (using view overrides, nothing to modify in the core).

When you display a product listing or a product page, the related products are not loaded, so you can't display them like that.
That's why you have to put a specific module for the listing of related products.
