Image display based on characteristics and options

Hi,

Is it possible to have images based not only on characteristics (eg: product page --> with characteristics on demo) but also on options? Meaning that the image and price changes depending on the options selected. as well as the variants chosen.

This is not possible with Hikashop yet. A solution would be to create the same product twice, one with the option and once without so can have different images for each case.

does "yet" mean it might be an eventuality?

I honestly don't think it will as the changes required to allow for that would be really important, would create issues for users with lots of images in their options products (that they also use as regular products), because it would require a lot of processing.
But then you should never say never, right

If that's something you really want, I would recommend to seek the help of a third party developer in order for him to develop that for you as a customization of HikaShop.

It should be possible though to have a product with characterstics (permitting for example color change, like with the mat in the demo) as well as options on top of that. It is just not possible that the options change the image....only characteristics. I would imagine as well that multiple images can be incorporated as well?

I will rewrite a bit more clearly...can I have:

Characteristics (that cause a change of image)
Options
Multiple Images

all for the one product?

Hi Luke,

You can indeed have multiple images for a product with characteristics and options.
The images will be displayed according to the characteristic selected.
And you can also have multiple images for each variant.
