How to hide a category from users NOT in a group? was created by RhythmicNature
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0 business edition
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.5
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome
Sorry - this seems really basic - but I can't find how to do this anywhere.
What I want to do is 2 fold:
I purchased the business version just to be able to use joomla groups/acl. That doesn't seem to be a problem. I just don't know how to hide things from the group.
Thanks in advance!
Frank.

What I want to do is 2 fold:
- when a person purchases any product in a specific category, it adds them to a group and then they are no longer able to see products in that category, and no longer able to see that category at all.
- Allow people to purchase one product in a category

Hi,
In each product, you'll find:
- the "access level" setting which allows you to display the product only for some user groups
- the "user group after purchase" setting which allows you to add the customer to a user group after a purchase.
So with these, you can give access to new products with the purchase of a product, but you can't remove access to products with a purchase.
What you can do instead is to configure a mass action via the menu System>Mass actions. Mass actions on orders have an action you can use to remove a user group from a customer after a purchase. So that should allow you to do that.
