checkout confirmation page confusion

I read that we must use_confirm, but there is no code under Display-Views for this page to be edited and because it is identical to the previous page, it is confusing to users, it looks like the cart is broken with the same page repeating. I used the below layout instead, removing _cart, it looks like it works fine, but I wanted to confirm that I could remove _cart. I added a message under the _coupon to ask people to please review their order, the next page is checkout. Here is my layout, login_address_shipping_payment_coupon_status_confirm,end.

the confirm view is only "logical". It does not display anything. So you can have both the cart and the confirm view on the checkout and you will have the cart displayed only once.

Anyway, you can use that checkout workflow, yes.
