Free shipping - but only for ONE product category was created by IanK
We have 8 product categories. Is it possible to setup a 'Free Shipping if over £60' which would apply to only one of these product categories?

You cannot restrict shipping methods based on categories.
You could set a volume for the products in that category and use volume restrictions in order to display your free shipping or the other shipping methods on the checkout.

I need one category of products to be shipped free of charge...

I found warehouse solution - is this the current solution?

Yes, you can now do such restrictions using warehouses. This wasn't available 3 years ago.
