Required custom fields in new product view

Hi there!

I think I found a bug, or at least some annoying feature.
I made a couple of custom fields for my shop like 'shippingcosts'. These are required.

But when I forget to fill this in I loose all my other data and start over blanc

Is it possible in the future to have a popup 'you forgot to fill in a required field' and all the other data stays intact?
Would save a lot of time!

Sure:

When I am in the backend, and I add a new product. I fill in all the boxes like price etc.
I made a few extra custom fields for easy export and import to other sites (like pricewatch).
One of these fields is 'Price_incl_tax' I made this box required because I mustn't forget it! But when I do forget it every field on the page goes blanc
