I think HikaShop is a great extension!
Consider people who sell download MP3's, Ebooks, Software products and people physical products such as T-Shirts, tables are two different business's that run totally different from each other.

The person want to sell download files want to inform the customer what format option they can download?

The T-Shirts want to offer easy shipping options for customers and postage


Consider how it will be better to separate HikaShop into two different extensions download store or physical good store.

Hi,

You can do all that within one HikaShop. You can use characteristics and variants for the downloadable products so that users can select the format. And you can have shipping options for the T-shirts. All within one store. The shipping options of the checkout will only be displayed if at least one product in the cart has a weight. You could even handle orders of t-shirts and mp3 at the same time.
