Yes. We just released a new version of HikaShop which is now compatible with the CCAvenue plugin available here:
github.com/techjoomla/joomla-payments/tree/master/code/plugins
You need to zip the files of the plugin and install the zip via the joomla installer and you should then be able to configure the payment method via the menu System>Payment methods of Hikashop.

This is not working. I downloaded the files, zipped them and tried installing them. I got this error -

That's probably due to the version of the plugin which is compatible for joomla 1.5 and you have a newest version or vice-versa.
In the plugin, thanks to edit the XML file and replace "install" tag by "extension" or in the other sense depending on what you have.

This installed, I enabled it. However in the Hikashop Configuration it does not show on payment methods. I went to the payment methods and clicked on New this does not show in that list

also, when i go in the plugin manager and click o this plugin, under basic option, it does no show "Hikashop options" like for other payment plugins

I just did a test on my and its working fine... Go in the menu System>Payment methods, click on the "new" button, select the "CCAvenue" plugin at the end of the list and you will see the configuration page for the plugin.

That is what i am dointbut it does not show in the list of options, how do i send you screenshots. also I am using joomla 3 version. have you tried on that. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Please advise

also, one interesting thing.

when i click on the plugin in the plugin manager,under the ordering I only see ccavenue and 2CO, (I am trying to install 2checkout as well in the same way). But i dod not see any other payment plugin.

However when i open any other payment plugin, in the order in I see all the other hikashop payment plugins. I donth think this is getting installed at the right place. attached are the screenshot

The plugin type name is different. In your files it is "payment" whereas in Hikashop it is "hikashoppayment". How do i change this?. Could this be the reason. can you resned me the ccavenue and 2checkout zip files with this correction

Changing the group name of the plugin won't solve the problem. It's the opposite, it will break it. So please don't do that.

If you don't see the plugin in the payment methods it means that you don't have the HikaShop common payment plugin on your website as it is the plugin that makes compatible the techjoomla plugins like CCavenue and 2checkout with HikaShop. If you don't have the common plugin, it means that either you uninstalled it, or you don't have the latest version of HikaShop where that plugin is preinstalled by default. In both cases, the solution is to simply install the latest HikaShop on your website and that should add the common plugin and then you will see the techjoomla plugins of the payment group as HikaShop payment methods.
