We use aceSEF with their Hikashop extenstion to create SEO friendly URLs in Hikashop.

Works well and gives you a lot of control over how the URLs are structured for categories and products.

AceSef is indeed a good product.
We don't use sh404sef on our end as we had problems with URLs on previous websites with sh404sef (I'm not talking about HikaShop but other extensions, or even joomla links).
We usually recommend to use the normal SEF of Joomla which is already great and don't generate much troubles.
