PayPal Pro

Hi,
i receive the following error using Paypal Pro Plugin:

ERROR 10565: The merchant country is not supported.
I read somewhere that the DoDirectPayment method is available just for few country (not Italy i guess).
Is it true? Any workaround?

As long as I know, Paypal Pro is only available for USA and Canada.
This limitation is for the merchant account, not for the customers.
