Wrong category highlighted when entering product

New to Hikashop so if this post is in the wrong category I'm sorry.

I've recently installed the shop and began to add categories to it. I installed the excellent Maximenu CK and it looks fabulous.
BUT, there is always a but, now when adding products and browsing to them in the menu the wrong category is highlighted in the menu after entering the product page. I can go through one, two or three submenus but when the product is chosen a completely different category is highlighted.
I wrote to CEd K who made Maximenu CK and asked him but he hasn't seen the problem before. Could it be in the shop itself or something that I've done wrong?

The product that I'm browsing only belongs to one category, of course.

It seems that it's more a problem with CK menu than with Hikashop.
Could you post a link to your website so we can take a look and confirm it?

Happily I can say that this issue has been solved by CEd K and he is updating his Hikashop patch for the menu system as I write this.
