Any plans for ShopMania Facebook integration?

ShopMania is a popular way of integrate your shop with Facebook.

All major webshops have support for this EXCEPT Hikashop!

Any plans of fixing this in any near future?

All these were developed by ShopMania themselves. So you could ask ShopMania to develop such integration.

On our end, since you're the first one asking about it, there was no plan to do it. We can add it to the todo list but I don't see it being done in the short term.

Well, I don't know much about it myself. I'm not much of a Facebook fan...

I see on ShopManias site that they can use a CSV or XML file to see the products from the shop.

And by having a static CSV-file for them to read it might be possible to get at least some kind of integration.
It might need some custom fields to meet their requirements but that wouldn't be any problem.


Could maybe work if there isn't to much chnages in products and stuff, what do you think?

If you don't update too often your products, you could even do it manually by exporting the products in Hikashop, editing the CSV in excel to rename the columns and remove the unneeded ones and that should get you going.
The main issue will be the URL column. You would have to edit the "export" file of the view "product" to add a URL column and generate the values. or do it with a excel formula to generate all the URLs based on the product_id column: index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=product&task=show&cid=XXX

Yes that was my thought, to export a CSV from Hikashop and use that.

I have asked the customer to ask ShopMania for a Hikashop module. The one I got from them for VM looked quite simple with mostly DB-querys to the webshop tables.

Is there any chance that you can provide a modification on an script provided from shopmania by payment you

. I tried by myself but i wasn't able to do it. They provide and generic php-mysql script like the attachment.

You shouldn't include the dbname and passwords in files you upload on the net.

Heres a script sended from them. It still gives me price 0,00, i hope they reply with the right script.

There is also a lot of products empty. I think there are the variants i have from several products
