Name custom field changed automatic afte saving.

Dear Support,

When we create a new custom field and select Table: item, then choose field type: customtext, and enter Column name: finishing_text, the column name is changed to a strange naming after saving. See screenshot.

There is a workaround to prevent this: first choose field type: text and later change it to customtext, but that doesn’t seem to be the intention.

Is this a bug?

Hi,

It's not a bug. A custom field of the type "custom text" doesn't need a column in the database. And thus, the column is not created in such case. The "strange naming" you see there is just a placeholder.
You can ignore this.
