Taxes not being applied during checkout

Hi there,

Taxes are not being applied to products during the checkout process.

- My "main tax zone" is set to "Canada"
- Created tax category called "Ontario HST"
- Created tax rate called "ontario_hst" set to 13%
- Tax rule created with "Zone"= Canada, "Tax Category"= Ontario HST, "Rate"= ontario_hst(13%), "Customer type"= individual, "Published"= yes.
- Products set to "Tax Category"= "Ontario HST"

I've read all the documentation I can find and tried several troubleshooting options but no luck yet.

Any ideas?

Hi,

You've restricted your tax rule to only individuals.
If you changed the default client type to something else than individuals in the configuration, users registrating on your website won't be considered as individuals by default and thus the tax won't apply.
Also, if your user address has the company field filled in, the user will be considered as a company and the tax won't apply.
Finally, if you've messed with the zones, it could create strange behaviors.
