de-install, re-install of latest (1.5.2) no menu

i have deleted and reinstalled the hikashop in my 1.6 environment. After some write errors, i decided to shmod everything down to 777. now the hikashop installment went okay, but telling me "menu items errors, not created". now i cant see the hika option in the joomla component menu (backend).

please help!

Could you give the complete error message you're getting and the version of joomla 1.6 you're using ?

i am using 1.6.4.

atttached a screenshot of the error(s), sorry this is in dutch: "error building admin menu's" is says, in blue : component successfully installed.

still: no hikashop in my joomla menu

That's a common problem with joomla 1.6 when you uninstall components: www.hikashop.com/en/support/forum/3-bug-...mins-menu.html#13035

My friend just encountered the same problem earlier today. I will let him know that the problem might came from Joomla and not from HikaShop. Thanks, nico!!!
