Number of items in categories is wrong.

I have my categories set to list layout and i have it set to show the number of items, but for some reason the number of items is wrong. One category i have 4 items and is showing that i have 8 items.

In the backend , in the products screen i apply the filter to "ALL" for products published and unpublished and ALL to products and variants and see that the products are being duplicated, is it normal? Please view the screen to the product that says " blue lacing dress"
