No edit button for view language

The edit language button appears to be missing?

Can you please :
- Active the joomla debug mode ("Administration->Global configuration->System->Debug System/Language")
- Set the "error reporting" option of the joomla configuration to "maximum"
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Langague"
- Tell me if it display an error message

OK I get:

Hikashop found your language on hikashop.com, this language file will be loaded on your textarea so you can save it and use it on your own website

Click OK

Then I click SAVE

this error:

Could not save the file /home/xxxxxx/public_html/language/overrides/en-GB.override.ini

Also:

Your language file is not up to date.• •Load the latest version from our server•

This does not help.

The problem may come from the permission on the folder. You should make sure that the folder is writable and have enough permission to allow joomla writing in it.

set folder to 777, still same problem

If joomla says that it cna't save the override file in the folder /home/xxxxxx/public_html/language/overrides it's either that this folder doesn't exist or that it doesn't have the correct permissions or that there is no space left on your hosting.
Please double check all that.

Folder definitely exists. Permissions set to 777 and still didn't work (was 755 originally).

There is over 1GB of free space on this hosting account.

When I go into Hikashop Config I get this error:

So I click the link load the latest version from our server:

Then I click SAVE and the error is:

•Could not save the file /home/xxxxxx/public_html/language/overrides/en-GB.override.ini•

Viewing en-GB.override.ini via winSCP the file is displaying as 0 bytes.

I don't see another reason why that file would not be writable.
Please ask your hosting company. There must be something on their end.

In any case, you can simply download the language file on our website and upload it yourself via FTP to the folder languages/en-GB.

I am the hosting company, and both of my sites that run hikashop are on the same shared server. Never had this issue with the other site.

I've already tried a fresh language file. Still no edit button.

Well for the override file not being writable, I don't know.

The edit button being missing might come from the fact that the edit image is missing.
It can potentially happen if you have deleted the bluestork template. Is that the case ?
If so, you should put it back and the image should then display.

It's a Joomla 1.5 site, no bluestork.

fixed the edit button issue, 1.5 pulls the edit button image from M_images folder. It had been deleted.
