thumbnail photos for category

After clicking on a category, my photos are missing on the thumbnail links.

What's up with that?

In your module's options, you selected the item box layout to not be with the image.
You can change that by editing your module with the id 101 via the menu Display>Content modules and then changing the item box layout option on the right to "image and title".

Thank you very much. Now how do I get the name of the category to show at the top, instead of just "Photos"?

In the hikashop options of your menu you have the option "Use menu name instead of category name for the title" that you can turn off for that.

I that I can do that with a menu item that links to a category, but what about a page that just lists the categories as in my case?

That's the same. The title will be "product category", which is the name of the main category that you can change in the listing of categories in your back end.
