Image files renamed

When an image file on my computer is updated, I do an ftp upload to the upload folder.

But when I go to change the image in the back end, I have to delete the current file and upload the new file and when that happens, Hikashop renames the file adding an 8 digit number to the file name.

Is there a better way to update product images without having to go through the steps of deleting, and updating. This is the only really awkward part of Hikashop for me.

PS Congratulations on getting Hikashop listed again on JED

Uploading the image to the media/com_hikashop/upload and then deleting the thumbnails_ folders in that folder is all you need to do.
The system will regenerate the thumbnails automatically and thus will use your new version of the image. So no need to delete-add it via the interface.
