limit icon & export question

2 quick questions please...

on the products view in admin, there is an icon "limit"...what exactly is this for/do?

is there anyway to export only the products for a certain category or mfg?

1. it's to have limits on purchases.
For example, you can restrict the purchases of your goods to only 5 per month per user.

2. Go in the category, display all the products, select them and click on the export button.
