After_end is displaying nothing

I have left the default settings alone and the after_end is not displaying "Thank you for your order" as the documentation says it will. How do I fix that?

Just the site header and footer and emptiness in between

I have no value registered in the Return URL of the payment setup.

That page is displayed by the file "after_end" of the view "checkout" that you can edit via the menu Display->views.
Did you change it ?

Otherwise, maybe that the problem comes from your template which doesn't display messages ?
