Force selection of Charactistics

where, in the database, is the default charastistic value in a product?

Details:
when we are coming from our costumizing designer, we are creating a new unique product. What we have to set, when we want the right values in the variant_characterstic_id collums, when we have a Characteristic-List-ID = 10 and the charastistic_id = 6?

Hi,

The default characteristic value is defined by an entry in the hikashop_variant table linking the main product to the value of the characteristic you want as default.

So for a product with three variants (one characteristic), you will have 5 entries in the hikashop_variant table:
1 linking the main product to the characteristic
1 linking the main product to the default characteristic value
3 linking the chracteristic values to the corresponding variants of the main product
