However, if my shop is very simple (because I learn from your advise before) please advise am I need to be updated to Joomla 2.5? or just keep 1.72 ?
Also, I found some user still to be used with Joomla 1.5 why they not update it?

For now you can keep 1.7.
Users are still on 1.5 because either they don't care or because they need extensions which are not yet available for 1.7 like joomfish.
