Product image is very blurry/pixelated for variant

I have my config setting for images as:



my thumbnails are not blurry, my main product image is not blurry, but as soon as i select characteristic values from the drop-down for each product (eg Red, Medium) the product image changes to a really blurry image.

how do i fix this?

I tried to reproduce the problem on our end but it's working fine.
Did you edit some of the files of the view "product" ? Maybe it could come from that...

I have only done changes you have written in these forums.

These images were converted/imported from Virtuemart. The actual image when you view in the modal popup is clear and not pixelated, but the variant images and i have now also found the the additional product images are also blurry.

I see what you mean but I couldn't find a way to do differently. I think that it might be because you edited one of the product view files before updating. I would recommend to:
1. save your product view files changes.
2. delete them via the Display->Views menu.
3. download again hikashop and update, just in case.
4. test again that page
5. Hopefully it should work and you can just redo your view modifications

i added:

list($this->width, $this->height) = getimagesize($this->uploadFolder.$path);

before the line you suggested in other forum thread, however now the main product image is smaller than i want. it displays as the thumbnail image. see my site to see what i mean.

No that's not normal.
We don't have that problem on our end.

Could you provide an FTP access to your website so that we can directly have a look at the problem ?
