Catalog for guests, Shop for our clients was created by patrickvbw
Hi,
I have a client that wants an e-commerce addon for his newly set-up Joomla website, and i am currently exploring Hikashop. Did some testing already, and called in help from Nicolas some times
However, My client wants to have a main Joomla website, and a store/catalog function for his clients.
So my question:
Is it possible to have a small login form for his clients, which can be divided in 2 user groups: "Companies" and lets call them "Privates"
Both user groups should see a different price, since companies should see a discounted price, without BTW.
Is this possible to set up?
Both user groups should have different payment methodes too, companies should pay by bill later, and privates should pay first by iDEAL or Paypal
Thanks!

Hi,
In HikaShop, The taxes are based on the address of the user. If there is a company name in the address of the user, he is considered as a company, otherwise as an individual.
Then, in your tax rules, you can select for which type of users the tax rule should apply.
That way you have have the prices with or without the taxes automatically.
Alternatively, you can also have different prices for different user groups with the Business edition by restricting prices to user groups with the access level column of the prices interface in your products. You can manage user groups via the user groups manager of joomla.
You can restrict payment methods by access levels too. But you can't do it by user type so the second option, using access levels might be what you're looking for.

Hi Nicolas,
I am still struggling with this..
I want the following:
Guests: Can see the shop as a catalog, but no prices and not able to purchase anything
Customers: Can see prices, with their group discount and with taxes. They are able to purchase products.
Also i can't find where to set a price to a different usergroup.. In my product-price module i cannot select anything..

When you're editing your products, you can see the prices listing on the right of the screen. There, for each price, you will have an icon to edit the access levels of the prices if you're using the Business edition. Note that it appears only once you save the product, not directly after entering the price.
