Install issue was created by webreplicator
I performed a test install. I am considering a license, but I wanted to try it out before my final decision. It finishes the install, but at the bottom of the install success message I get some red warning as could not create directories:
This install is on the latest Joomla 2.5
Warning:
public_html/media/com_hikashop/upload/safe/.htaccess): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /srv/www/htdocs/qualiaweb.com/public_html/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 418
could not create: public_html/plugins/content/hikashopsocial
All permissions are set correctly as 777 on media and library.

You should also make the public_html/plugins/content folder writable as we as the folder media/com_hikashop/upload/safe itself.
These are minor issues anyway. The htaccess can easily be added via FTP. It's just a text file with the text:
deny from all
For the hikashopsocial plugin, it means that the plugin couldn't be installed. Once you allow the content plugins folder to be writable, install HikaShop on top of your current install and it will try to reinstall that plugin and check the htacess file.

Effectively, I had to manually create the folders and give it 777 permissions all the way across
media/com_hikashop/upload/safe/
and also 777 to /content
the installation completed successfully. It time for testing.
Thank you for your prompt reply
