variant display help

i would like to tweak the way the finish for a variant appears....

i want to remove the ":" that appears before the finish name...in this case i want ANTIQUE BRASS, not : ANTIQUE BRASS

i have looked high and low and can't find the code to change, please help!

That comes from the function checkVariant in the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/product.php :
$variant->product_name = $variant->main_product_name.'<span class="hikashop_product_variant_subname">: '.$variant->characteristics_text.'</span>';
