Independent Filters

Hi,

We are facing an issue with filters of hikashop. In the event were we have more than one filter on the website, it seems that the results are combined and filtered from all filters.
Example:
We have
>one Menu with items pointing to categories of hikashop
> a filter on a custom field (list radiobox)

Scenario:
> User clicks on link "Category A"
> User clicks "option 1" from the filter on the custom fields

Result:
Products shown are the ones complying to both "Category A" and "Option 1" from filter.

Required Result:
We want each filter, hikashop menu item to act independently and in a way reset all filters/categories when clicked.

Can you advice how this can be corrected

Hi,
That's how it is supposed to be.
There is no option to change that.
That would require a big custom development in HikaShop in order to unselect a filter when one is selected.

While a user is using any filter on the website and then clicks on a category to view all the products then the results of these category are being limited by the filter. We need the filters actually reset when a user wants to browse the products of a category.

Is it possible to do a trick for that?

The filters are bound to the category where they are set. If you change the current category, the filters should be reset, unless you're not using a recent version of HikaShop.

What you mean bound? I can see that the filters are set to the parent category of all categories. But if i change that then how the filter will look on my categories?

I mean that when you have a filter selected for a product listing in a category, if you change the current category the filters won't be selected there.
