Customise category listings

Is it possible to display the + / - Qty field, and any variants on the category listing page like on the product page?

Or at least a Qty field box next to the add to cart button?

OK, found an old thread and have the Qty field and + / - on the listing pages.

Client would prefer it did not put the button up that says choose options, but gave the drop down on that listing page, and the same qty and add to cart button. Possible?

No that's not possible if you're using characteristics because it would require to load all the variant data of all the products listed and it would crash the page.
If you're using custom item fields of the dropdown then it's possible.
There in an option in the hikashop options of the products listing menus/modules in order to activate that display.

If we use a custom field, it would need to be a drop down, is this assignable just to certain products, or categories, and can different pricing be assigned to each option, basically replicating a variant.

Where is the option to turn this on please.

Also, sorry, forgot, also adding a weight as well.

At the moment, they have wine, single bottle price and 6 pack price.

Obviously they need the ability to have 2 prices and 2 weights depending on what is picked.

Would options do that and be displayed on the listing page?

Then instead of a custom field (which cannot change the price),you could use options:

You will be able to change the price based on the selected value. It will display as a dropdown. And you will be able to eassign it to one or several products.
However, only custom fields can be displayed in the listing.

I think that you're not looking at the good way to handle that.
Instead of using options/characteristics/custom fields, you should just convert the quantity field to a dropdown via a quantity field override:

Then, you can potentially have different unit prices based on the quantity ordered with the "minimum quantity" column of the prices and activate the display of the quantity dropdown on the listing:
