Get access to cart contents in the step view

I am editing the step.php file and I need access to the content of the cart for checking a few things. Is there a way I can do that?

You can do like that:
$cartClass = hikashop_get('class.cart');
$cart = $cartClass->loadFullCart();
var_dump($cart);
