random products from different categories

How do i make a hikashop content module (eg latest products, random products etc) show products from not within the current category you are viewing or if you are not viewing the hikashop extension at all (eg you are on homepage)?

You need to create a products listing module:

in the hikashop options of the module make sure that the synchronization option is turned off and the the sub element filter option is set to "all sub elements".
That way it will be able to display all the products of all the categories.
Then just change the random option or the ordering column option to have a latest products module or a random products module.
