Generating products question

Hi,

I have been dabbling with Hikashop for a few months now, and am currently producing a website using Hikashop.

I have a list of 8000+ products that I have imported from a CSV file.

I also have an images folder which relate to the products in the CSV file.

Is it possible to link the imported products from the CSV file with the images folder?

If the answer to the above question is yes, I would like to understand how this happens.

Do the images need to have a reference to the product it relates to?

And secondly, I've already uploaded the products from the CSV file, can I still link the images folder to the products even after the CSV file has been uploaded?

- sorry for these questions, but I didn't quite understand the documentation on this subject.

Incidentally, I know I need to have the business version to actually generate the products. I don't currently have the business version, but I truly am a fan of Hikashop and am definitely prepared to upgrade if linking CSV and images is fairly straightforward.

Hi,

It's really easy.
Make sure that your images are in the folder media/com_hikashop/upload

Then, in your CSV just enter their filename and they will be linked to the products.

The CSV would look like that if you just want to update existing products:

product_code,images
my_product,my_imager1.jpg
my_product_2,my_image2.jpg
