[SOLVED] Characteristis / options with rules?

Hello,

Is it possible have rules for characteristics / option of an product?

For example in the hikashop demo site demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...y_pathway=14&lang=en there are several sizes and colors. What if for example size S is only available in one color, is there a way to exclude the other colors so that they can not be selected by the client?

In my case it is a photografy, the client can choose if he wants the photo printed on paper in several sizes, with the option plasticized, or download it in digital format. If the client chooses to download it the sizes and plasticization are irrelevant and can confuse the client.

What is the best way to do this if it is possible.

Thank you,

Hi,

That's not possible with the options in HikaShop.
You can either customize the view file of that page to add javascript in order to hide the options based on others.
Or simply have two products, one for the printed version and one for the digital version, and potentially have them link one another as related products.

Hello nicolas,

I have no experience with javascript.

I haven't thought of link one another as related products.

Thank you for your suggestion.
