[SOLVED] post code in wrong place on email

hi,

please see attached screen shot. on confirmation emails, the postcode is appearing before the city name. how can we change this so that the post code appears after the city name? it's confusing a few of our customers.

it appears fine when looking at the orders screen within the cms. seems to just be on email.

i changed the order that the post code appears on our registration form to be after the city name. i presume this is what has effected it.

any ideas?

Have you edited the view "address / address_template" to change the order of the elements ?

No i changed the order of the fields in the custom fields section. I used the arrows to change the order slighly and put the postcode below the city on the registration form.

Should i have edited the template?

Yes, you need to edit the address_template view files (several of them) so that the address display changes.
The custom fields ordering is only for the fields ordering on the form, not for the address display.

when you say 'several of them' which ones exactly?

my address / address_template.php file looks like this

{address_company}
{address_title} {address_firstname} {address_lastname}
{address_street}
{address_city} {address_post_code} {address_state}
{address_country}

but the confirmation emails still show the postcode before the city. Which other files do i need to edit?

What I'm saying is that there are several address_template.php files. One for each of your templates.
You need to modify the address_template.php file for your backend template and the one for your frontend template.
If you modify it for other templates of your website, you won't see any difference.
If you're unsure, change them all...

thanks, i didn't notice that i had to edit the backend template for 'bluestork'. seems to be working as it should now.
