Hi,

demo.hikashop.com/administrator/index.ph...tegory&filter_id=tax

You have to put the ID of the tax category.
In the demo website, "Normal rate" have the ID 25 and "Default tax category" have the ID 51.
You have to open the same page in your website, choose the tax category you want to use and put the ID in the mass action.

In your HikaShop version you wrote "latest version", it didn't help us..
What is your current version ?

If it is 2.2.2, it's not the latest one actually, so thanks to update to the 2.2.3 version, you can download it from our website.
Then install is over your current install, this bug has already been fixed

Okay i just updated to 2.3

Tax is still not showing up in the check out, even though all products are set to default tax category

So the mass action has worked correctly.

If all the products have the default tax category and no taxes are displayed, it's maybe a problem of your tax configuration.

The tax setup seems to be correct.
By default there should be 5% applied.

Is your address, the one used in the checkout, in a zone where the taxes are applied ?

Actually in the checkout I see the taxed price when no address is set, and too when I use an address in Canada.
So it seems to be working fine.

Regarding the cart module, you can change the display tax parameter in the module options.

Could you give me advice on how to set up my cart to work better?

That really depend on the way you see the things, there is no really a way better than another one.
I don't have an e-shop, and the other HikaShop users have all different checkout configurations.

Some of them are using only one step, some others prefer have one step for login, one for payment, one for shipping...
It depend too on the type of the shop, which kind of products are sold, etc.
