Mass Action email template body message

Is there a way to add text to the body portion of the emails generated by mass action reports?

We currently have an excel document that is being generated. However, we are experiencing issues with our spam vendor flagging messages that only have an attachment without any body text as spam. It is possible for us to disable this setting, but then it would open the flood gates for real spam. I would prefer to simply add a line of text to the mass action emails. What would be the best way of going about this?

There is no option for that, but it would be a good idea to add that yes.
Could you provide a screenshot of your mass action settings so that we can see what kind of mass action you're doing to better tell you what to do ?

Both are simply sending a blank email with excel attachment.

Hi,

By default in this kind of email you should have a string like: "CSV file exported at: %s".
So you can edit this message via a translation override on the key: MASS_CSV_EMAIL_BODY
That way you can add more content to the email.

Else you can fill the body of the "massaction_notification" email via our menu System > Email.

MASS_CSV_EMAIL_BODY does have the value "CSV file exported at: %s". But, for some reason it does not carry through to the email. I was able to add body text via System > Email. Hopefully this will help with the spam filter.

Being able to add a custom body message in the mass action configuration would be a great feature to add. It would be nice to include a different message for each mass action that we email.
