-- HikaShop version -- : 3.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.3
-- PHP version -- : 7

After updating to Hikashop 3.4.0 the "add to cart" button no longer updates the cart module via ajax. You can only tell that the item has been added if you manually refresh the page. Please see the attached URL.

Hello,

Did you try with a default template (like ProtoStar) ?
If without your current template everything works as expected, I will advice to contact Template creator support.
Awaiting news from you.

Regards

Hello,

You're using the legacy add to cart but the module is based on the new cart system.
I would recommend you to switch to the non legacy cart system in order to use the ajax features.
Due to the modification of structure, the legacy add to cart should not be used with the ajax refresh of cart modules (unless you have an override for the cart to use the old content).

Sounds good. How do I switch from the legacy cart system to the new one?

Hi,

Just turn off the "add to cart legacy" setting, under the "advanced" tab of the HikaShop configuration.

I have this same issue, but I am unable to use to the new add to cart feature as I am not able to get the popup working even though I have enabled and configured the popup plugin. My test website is test.leconcepts.com .

Finding this very frustrating as this worked fine with the previous version of Hikashop and my client is wanting to go back to Virtuemart now.

Is it possible to load the previous version of the add to cart module so I can at least get back to where we were prior to the upgrade.

I think you need to appreciate that not all users are able to use all the new features, either due to conflicting modules or templates, but this is an e-commerce site and what we don't want is to drastically change the user behaviour every time we upgrade as it affects our online business.

Hello,

I can see that you're still using the legacy add to cart so there is no need of any "popup" plugin since the notification plugins are for the new system.
More than that the cart module you have in your website is not the official HikaShop cart module but something provided by your template.

I'm sorry but if you're not using the new system and you're telling us that it's not working ; we won't be able to see it and help you.
