Skip shipping for virtual products

Hi,
Would it be possible to skip the step 'shipping', if the shopping cart contains only virtual products? It is an unnecessary step and leads to confusion. Some of my customers canceled the order process because of that - even if the pre selected shipping method says it is free, it seems to confuse people.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

In your workflow, the shipping have his "own step".
If the use the shipping with other checkout actions (like payment) ; the shipping won't be displayed where the is no nedded shipping.

Hi Jerome,
thanks for your answer. I tried to put shipping and payment together, but the result doesn't look good and is even more confusing, if the shipping costs of the two vendors are shown.
I decided to stick with the extra step for shipping. Would it be possible to show a text in the shipping step, if no shipping is needed because of virtual products? There is just a blank space now and a next button. That is very confusing. I would like to show a text saying something like 'Download/E-Mail'.

Hi,

Yes. Edit the file "shipping" of the view "checkout" via the menu Display>Views and add such line:
echo 'Download/E-Mail';
After the line:
if(empty($this->rates)) {
