hello renewal of hikashop issue

-- url of the page with the problem -- : slllc.org
-- HikaShop version -- : starter
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : did not renew. lost all my options if i renew hikashop business so all my options come back or i have to do all again

did not renew. so now all my options are gone. if i were to renew would they come back

Hi,

If you have installed HikaShop starter on a website with HikaShop Business or HikaShop Essential ; it will deactivate the commercial features but your configuration will stay unchanged. The settings won't be lost.
By re-installing a commercial edition of HikaShop ; you will retrieve (re-activate) these features.

but will content be there like my CEU credits which was under options? or will i have to put it in again?

Hi,

The options are still in the database. So if you upgrade to the Essential edition, you'll get them back automatically yes.

The system is made to allow upgrades and downgrades.
It's up to you to choose what you install or not.
But note that if you update Joomla, you'll have to update HikaShop one way or another at some point because Joomla changes and we need to release new versions of HikaShop to adapt to these changes.

i would renew hikashop but prior to now no one answered me . it made me feel uneasy when life is hard enough tell me what to look for in back end i did update all. what should it say? it says starter......and options disappeared suddnely that makes having it worthless. i need back asap. what should it say in back end

You have the latest stable version of HikaShop Starter: 2.6.2

this is what it is showing when i did not renew. i did update with joomla help. i will renew if i am treated appropriately but my husband says i should still have what i had paid for without updates upgrades and NOT lose options what happened to essential?

i am unure what happened but i did have essential. i need to know what happened here. it all of a sudden went down to starter not sure how or why. please someone help me. slllc.org is site. if nicholas who is now answering me wants access let me know. i am working now but need what i paid for back in the back end or to know where it is.

Hi,

You installed HikaShop Starter over HikaShop Esssential ; it was your choice and your action.
You could also choose to not update and stay with your installed HikaShop essential version.
But as long as your license expired ; you do not have access anymore to the commercial updates.

So the options didn't suddenly disappeared ; you installed the free version of HikaShop. Which is a free product but which comes with some limitations (not providing the features of commercial products).
If you want to retrieve these features ; you need to reinstall HikaShop essential.. An old version or a new one, it's up to you.

how do i reinstall it? it seems as if it was taken away as the timeing is when i got something saying to renew it which i did not since my emails are generally ignored. how do i get what i paid for at one time back

Hi,

Like we are explaining you since several messages, you have two different solutions.
1 - Use the package that you download when your subscription was still active.
2 - Renew your subscription and download the latest HikaShop essential package.

The HikaShop license is "1 year free updates" ; which mean that when your license expired, you can't update anymore.
But it's also "No limit of time" ; which means that ever if your subscription is expired. HikaShop will continue to work, you cannot update but the existant will stay and won't deactivate.

About your emails, we warned you several times about what our support can do and cannot do.
You insisted and some of your emails were inappropriate. At this time we proposed you a refund, you refused.
After several hundred emails, we had to take mesures, like I (or Nicolas) have already explained you.
We are very professional but we do not accept disrespect and we won't provide any service outside the limitation of our support.
Nicolas has been too generous and extremely patient with you. But reach a certain point, we had to say stop.

I already wrote you that I recommend you to use another e-commerce solution, which can propose you phone support (that we do not have and won't have).
And also that you could see to contact a company or web-agency to help you for your website management and configuration.
These are just recommendation and the rest is up to you. But like I wrote you many times, we can't provide any extended support and configure you your website for $17 per year.
In an email you wrote that you will change for another e-commerce solution and for us the debate was closed.

And I have to say, once again, that we did not update your HikaShop in your website, we do not have such "power". You or someone from your team perform that update and we cannot be blame for that ; we are not responsible of your website and his management. And we also always recommend to perform backups (regular backups and also before updates) ; like we highly recommend to backup the Joomla package installers for safety (re-installation, duplication, pre-production, etc).

To conclude, once again, Nicolas has been really generous and send you a previous version of HikaShop essential so you can restore it.
