After Update to 4.1.0, I get Call to undefined function hikashop_isClient()

Hi,

Just updated to 4.1.0 (both Joomla's update system and from zip package), the backend shows Call to undefined function hikashop_isClient() error.

What's going wrong?

Hi,

That's a new function introduced in hikashop 4.1.0. This function is defined in administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php since HikaShop 4.1.0.
If you have that error, it means that this file was not updated during the update process.
Rename the folders administrator/components/com_hikashop/ and components/com_hikashop via FTP and install the latest version install package you can download on our website. That should fix the problem.

Could you please be more specific:
rename folder administrator/components/com_hikashop/ to what name?
rename folder components/com_hikashop to what name?
I do not understand which part to rename ...

Hi,

The goal there is to make it so that Joomla doesn't find these folders of Hikashop so that instead of overwriting the files, it will recreate the com_hikashop folder and add back all the files and folders with the proper access rights.
So the name you choose for the "com_hikashop" folder can be anything. For example it could be com_hikashop_old

Hi,

Yes. They are not useful anymore. I recommended to rename them instead of deleting them just in case you could revert the modification if there was a problem after the update (there shouldn't be but better safe than sorry).
