-- HikaShop version -- : 4.6.1

SO this is to manage inventory and barcodes but when installed it doesn't pull any products already in hikashop? This makes the component useless. This should automatically tie into already existing products, add or use the sku already input and provide a list to manage inventory with barcodes.

This needs to be fixed or we need a refund.

No way to run an inventory report, stock report or etc to properly use the stock plugin, in comparison with what is in stock.

Can't print barcode for 1D scanner to print, so what would be the purpose? To get another software to make barcodes and scan with hikashop?

Hi,

You enter your sku/bar code in the input field at the top and the quantity and it will automatically add to the corresponding product.
And if you have a bar code scanner, you scan the barcode of the product with that tool while it is connected to your computer via USB and the input field has the focus and it will automatically enter the barcode and you just have to enter the quantity and validate to update the corresponding product quantity in HikaShop.
The goal of this plugin is to make it easy to add / remove stock to products without having to search for the products in the shop.
The goal of the plugin is not to provide a listing of the products where you can see/modify the quantity. You can already do that with the products listing (albeit you need to go in the product to change the quantity), or with a "display the results" action of a mass action (where you can click on the quantity to get an edit input field to change the stock and validate), via the menu System>Mass actions.

That works, but then we have to use Hikashop to process actions, export to csv (really a xslx) with the following checked:

product_name
product_quantity
product_id (this instead of sku because it made it easier)
price

We select for characteristics and variants but it doesn't show that at all.

If there is a stock manager an export all inventory with quantity, name, ID, price, variants and characteristics should be plausible to add. I mean its only evident that this would allow people to export a list, search by ID, adjust and ensure counts are right

Plus including a barcode print feature would allow users to print barcodes add to products and scan when needing to check out in person and also use stock manager.

Hi,

What do you mean by "We select for characteristics and variants but it doesn't show that at all." ?
A mass action on "product" will process both products and variants by default. So if you export product information without any filter, the export file you'll get will contain both products and variants.
Could you provide a screenshot of the settings of the mass action ?

Export/import of products and their quantity being already possible in HikaShop by default, I don't see a reason to add the same thing in the barcode manager plugin.

Being able to generate a barcode for each product and print it is a good idea. I've added the idea on our todo list.

Thanks for your feedback.
